Fantastic host. Great wine. Excellent restaurant recommendations.

Room was well appointed. Clean. Great bathroom. Cosy and warm on winter nights. Breakfast was good quality. Home made juice and great fromage.

Truly beautiful place. Highly recommend!

Very good if you use the tram to get into Bordeaux and have a car to get to the tram. Tram station is a couple of miles away from the hotel and a very convenient way to get into town.

The first clerk was not very helpful about restaurants (could only suggest three that were either unavailable or not in the center of the city), and there are MANY, we discovered, wonderful restaurants in the heart of Bordeaux. Here are two with an incredible, friendly staff and delicious food at a reasonable price: Racines and Zephirine.

Fabulous place to stay

Wonderful place to stay. Very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated rooms. Very good breakfast. Host was very friendly and helpful. We had a very informative and enjoyable wine tasting. Highly recommend La Closerie de Fronsac as a place to stay.

The simplicity, privacy and opportunity to immerse ourselves into a time in the past ... while enjoying the fruits of what has been planted and continues to prosper. The host responded to our every need ... cool dry white wine for a special family dinner (on a Sunday when no shops were open); great insights into 'things to experience' within our interests and feasibility.

Great host, quiet home, close to the vineyards, where he produces his own wine. Very hospitable, nothing was too much trouble. Comfortable clean room, great breakfast. The facility to have food in the evening, if requested in advance, is worth noting. Wine from the producer ( host) is available to purchase to take away or have with dinner. We took our own picnic but wished we'd eaten there.
