We spent a month in Sri Lanka and we both agree that this was our favorite place we stayed! Very clean and comfortable. We loved being able to sit in the kitchen and watch breakfast get made fresh in front of us - especially the roti!

A homestay with heart

Very nice, personable owners, enjoyed our chats in the kitchen. Pretty hilltop property with balcony and a great view. Clean, cozy, carpeted room. Allowed us to use the kitchen to cook our sick soup. Tasty breakfast, including a special green porridge (to help us get over a cold).

The AC unit was terribly noisy and needs servicing, so wed only use it for a few minutes at a time to cool down, but you cant sleep (or hear yourself think) with it on. Im sure theyll fix it though :)

Great food and view, feels like home

Where do we begin, we loved our time here very much. We would like to thank you for welcoming us so warmly into your home. We have been to very many homestays, and the hospitality was second to none. The food was incredible. Breakfast every morning was a different Sri Lankan delicacy and enough to fill you up until dinner. The kind of breakfast that makes you excited to go to sleepWe also had dinner here and sampled much more delicious Sri Lankan food. The room was clean and comfortable with a great view from the balcony. It was perfect. Thank you for everything, we will come back

A hidden gem

Kandy Mountain Cottage with the owners is like a hidden gem among guest houses in Sri Lanka! I stayed 19 days in a room with a balcony! The room, bathroom, bed linen and towels are very clean and everything you need for your stay is there! The owner's cooking skills are excellent! The family's hospitality is unique and the owner will help you with any request! I can 100% recommend the cottage and would love to come back!
