Simply fantastic.

Fantastic hotel! Such attention to details, warm extremely professional staff, everyone from front-desk, restaurants, consierge, pool, and House-keeping! A really special and great experience for the whole family! (Have to mention the quality and service in the bar and that the hotel was very neatly decorated for Christmas!) We will come back and never search for another hotel in Amsterdam! Thank you!

Good but expect better

It was good in terms of space, clean, location. The staff is helpful enough but I expected better since I had a cut off of internet for 5 hours. I also expected better benefits like welcome drink. The swimming pool was closed from 9 which is not expected, I rather prefer to swim midnight

Internet was not good, I lost connection for 5 hours and they keep sending staff to fix it rather than offering better solutions and quick.

Elegant Hotel on the Canal

Amazing location. Gorgeous property with water views and original charm.

Guest services was perfect. Greeted with a smile and given an incredible room. However, service in the restaurant really struggled. They forgot items, never came to check on us and seem to focus too much on setting the tables instead of the customers.

Horrible, horrible experience, felt like I was participating in the begining of a horror movie.

I liked the hotels outside faade, the look of the lobby and the look of the breakfast room (not the food). and the way the elevators are integrated like normal doors. But actually it was the hotel where I have the most difficulty in finding good things to talk about.

First the front desk tried to aggressively convince me of paying the checkin retention in cash and not credit. They even said their machines were not functioning and only when I said there was no other way did they present a functioning machine. I made a reservation for a Presidential Suite with balcony and was put in an old old room with stained and ripped wallpaper, cobwebs everywhere with a family of BIG camel spiders, battered and mismatched furniture and a completely non functioning Air conditioning (no light no sound no air). They tried to convince me of staying in the room "I am sorry you feel that way sir". Room 411. Then they tried to put me in an inferior room without the balcony and non presidential suite. Only when I asked for a refund did they call the manager and offer me room 410, a clean and less stained version with functioning AC of the room they gave me and tried to make me use. They have a serious hospitality problem. Something bad will happen there if nothing is done.
