Double bed was 2 singles pushed together. Cleaner came bang on 11 to make sure we were leaving.

A 'no frills' place to stay

Greeted by less than friendly staff, fairly disinterested. Room was small and this was expected, but shower 'cubicle' was very tight and uncomfortable to use without leaving the door open.

Reception from staff. Loud decor. Poor shower/bathroom layout.

The beds were super comfy!

The lady at check in was stand offish - certainly not welcoming! The lady who checked us in to breakfast was also unfriendly! At least the lady at check out was very pleasant! These staff members are the frontline to your business so should portray a more positive friendly attitude! We arrived early- so were not given the option to our bags stored and come back at 3! Instead pay extra or we could go online and join the hotel group to avoid paying! It was all too hard - we just paid and got our rooms at 2!!!

Fairly good stay for what is a large city. Rooms need better furnishings & bedside sockets!

Quiet, dark room, excellent breakfast, good, reliable WiFi, friendly and helpful staff

No sockets on either side of the bed, not even USB ports!! Rather small, cramped room with poor furniture, doesn't compare well with other rooms in the same category (which were larger and much less expensive) in other cities

Very good

It was a perfect location to get to Matthew street and all the rest of the town centre.

The receptionist was welcoming and arranged for an early check in for free. The cleaning staff had decorated our room with a swan towel and rose petals as it was out 25th anniversary. It was quiet and we slept well.

A little fridge would have been handy in the room.

Very good

Great hotel for budget-conscious travellers

This hotel is in fantastic location and easily walkable to all the main tourist points. We were able to check-in early and there was a great spread for breakfast. The room is basic but very clean and perfect if you're going to be out and about.

You get what you pay for - don't expect anyting too fancy but the value for money is great!

Superb

Lovely and central spot

The staff are very friendly! They let us do an early check in with no additional costs and made sure we are happy. The location is great and very easy to access all the highlights spots in town. My dog was very happy too!

There was weird water noise coming out of the AC, I reported it and they did say they will send someone to check but it didn't really matter to me as everything else was great

Staff and tea coffee facilities

Toe nail clippings on the floor beside the bed. Room was very cold and the phone didn't link to reception when pressing the reception button. Reception didn't answer when I phoned through my mobile. We stayed warm by putting out coats and the towels over the bed and still too cold. I couldn't leave my son to go to reception physically.
