Disappointing

Disappointing Stay

Room was ready on arrival but there was one receptionist and 11 people in front of me so the check in took nearly 45 minutes.

Room was cold, heating inefficient, the one towel provided was the size of a postage stamp, one lift was out of order so there was a large queue to use it, the sound proofing between rooms and the corridor was non-existent. The nearby parking wasnt that nearby, was more expensive than quoted and I was surprise/relieved my car was still there in the morning, judging by the amount of broken glass that was in and around the car park. I appreciate the latter is not the hotels fault, however the car park they have is very small and shared with the neighboring hotel, both hotels are sizable so the car park given this is an out of town location, is woefully inadequate in size

Room was clean and comfortable, it was located close to where we wanted to be

Parking info as when we arrived it was dark and raining heavily, had difficulty locating park area

It wasnt clean , it was dark n dingy. Staff werent helpful . Also its a late check in so had to pay in order to go in our room sooner

The room was tiny. The standard room with a double bed and single bed on top bunk bed. Single toilet room. sink basin next to the bed and shower cubicle. NO BATHROOM. Poor selection of Continental breakfast. No.cooked breakfast available.

Very poor

As we arrived to the hotel, the women at the desk was very stern with us which was uncomfortable. We then went up to the room and the room smelt very funny, we opened the window and sprayed perfume to hopefully get the smell out but nothing worked. I then went down to reception and told them about this and they said that there was nothing they could do, the smell was really horrible that I knew I didnt want to be sleeping in that room. I then asked reception to check out and they didnt seem bothered at all, bare in mind we had been in the room a maximum of 4 hours. I asked the man at reception if there was anyway we could get some of the money we paid for back as we werent staying and he firmly said no with no empathy to the situation whatsoever
