For the money given, find somewhere else

Location pretty far from everything, prepare to walk or take bus/uber etc. The hotel has a restaurant with a few type of foods: pizza sandwiches. You have a CVS shop right across the street. The breakfast was good, very busy, you should arrive early to get a seat if the hotel is full not enough places for all. The room was big enough, the AC was very loud like many places in US.

They have a strange way of charging you, not providing this info upfront: they precharge(authorisation) you when checking in for the amount of the reservation plus the deposit damage and an amount for parking (in case you have a car its about 60 $ pe night, the parking is a few blocks away and there is a valet that takes your car and then brings it back when u need it) and they charge you again at the end of your stay with the total amount. The preauthorisation amount should come back after 7days or more depending on your card/bank. The parking was charged for 3 nights instead of 2 and I had to tell them is incorrect and they corrected that after the fact, so be vigilent and check your invoice carefully!!

A great place for my family to stay and enjoy the city.

Friendly and helpful staff. I accidentally did not reserve a room with a pull out couch and they were able to find me a room that did. Great breakfast and comfortable shared space for guests.

Only one working elevator and no sign of anyone attempting repairs.

Staff was friendly. Location was convenient. Room was nice.

One elevator was down. The working elevator was very slow. The lighting in the room was ok but could have been better.

Disappointing hotel with great location

I recently had the misfortune of staying at the Hyatt Place White House in DC, and it was a complete disappointment from start to finish. The room was tiny, with a bed that felt like a rock, and a bathroom that seemed to have not been cleaned in weeks. The air conditioning barely worked, and the noise from the street made it impossible to sleep. The breakfast buffet was a joke. The eggs were rubbery, the bacon was burnt, and the pastries were stale. It looked like they had been sitting out for hours. I saw a cockroach scurrying across the counter, and that was the final straw. I couldn't even stomach the thought of eating there again. But the real kicker was the elevator situation. There was only one working elevator in the entire hotel, and it was painfully slow. It took at least 30 minutes to go down every day, and often, it would stop on every floor, making the wait even more unbearable. I was late to my meetings every day because of this ridiculous situation. The only redeeming quality of this hotel was the staff. They were friendly and apologetic, but even they couldn't make up for the terrible room, disgusting breakfast, and frustrating elevator situation. Overall, I would never stay at the Hyatt Place White House again. It was a waste of money, and I would advise anyone considering staying there to look elsewhere. There are plenty of better options in DC that won't leave you feeling frustrated and disappointed.

Sraff was great.

Elevator was broken. Bteakfast was a disaster. Lines were very long, people were cutting people in line. People who already got food, were cutting the line to go up and get seconds. Food ran out, silverware ran out, staff were trying their best but they were overwhelmed. They need more valets.
