The Hyatt Place Richmond Arboretum has soft beds and pillows, but the TVs are in an inconvenient place and the bathrooms are narrow. The staff is wonderful and attentive, and the hotel is kept very c (Read More)lean. The breakfast is hot and delicious. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and spacious. There are plenty of nearby restaurants and activities. The hotel feels safe and has well-decorated rooms. Parking is an additional fee. Overall, it is a great hotel with friendly staff and good value.

Superb

It was an enjoyable stay for my mother's 81st birthday.

Breakfast was good and more than expected. The hotel was nice and the staff was pleasant.

The heating and cooling system did not operate well. The restaurant was closed for dinner. Hotel rep said the fryer was broken.

Ridiculous parking fees now in place

What is up with this parking fee? That is userous and ridiculous. You are nickel and diming the guests for what? This is definitely a deal changer. We always stay at this hotel whenever we are in Richmond. Will we stay again? Not so sure we will. Nobody who was at the meeting to discuss this parking charge put their hand up and said, "I don't know guys; this might not be a good idea".

Quiet old hotel even if some refurbishing have been done

Noisy ventilation inside and outside the room. Needs to switch it off if you want to sleep without earplugs...

The stay was decent.

It was quiet and very clean, comfortable.

That we requested a late check out and was granted the check out by the Manager. However, the maid tried to come into the room prior to even standard check out at Noon. Then a Secondary person went to gain access to our room again and neither my husband nor I was dressed. So, it made it a bit uncomfortable.

Everything about our stay was exceptional EXCEPT THE $9 DOLLAR PARKING FEE!! That alone will have us look for the same amenities and service in another hotel MINUS the parking fee. It would be a first choice place to stay without that parking fee. Staff was amazing. Very professional and friendly.

The $9 DOLLAR PARKING FEE!! Either encapsulate it into the room cost or do away with it all together. No microwave was also a thumbs down.
