Close to the station

Right next to the station with lots of bars and restaurants around. There is an Onsen which is very nice to have in a city hotel!

It is at the opposite end of town from Dotonburi, which is one of the top things to see, but you can't be close to everything!

Hotel Monterey Le Frere ideal choice for family travels

Could not have chosen a better hotel. Love the staff, all welcoming and friendly. The housekeeping ladies super helpful, even on advising the day's outdoor wear. Weather fluctuated 12 to 5, 9 to 2 degrees within week. Location within Osaka circle line, the land tours will pick up. Basement pharmacy and Lawson very handy. Taxi stand just infront of hotel next to Exit 11-43 from underground passage. Walk from Osaka Station to Exit 11-43 come up you'll see the hotel. From Herbis limo bus station, walk on ground easier 7 mins, not underground passage, use Google map navigate. Many restaurants just foot of hotel. Many resturants do not accept child patrons due to smoking and alcohol consumption in restaurants with after 5 working lot dining in. Plenty of eateries across the hotel, Basement 1 of building across hotel also leads you to Osaka Station and other stations, follow signs. Taxi inexpensive to take back hotel within Osaka circle belt, no need to make that break legs walk back hotel because it is not just 7 to 10 mins walk from Osaka Station. Osaka Station to hotel is about 750 to 900 yen. Le Frere has connecting rooms for 5, this is the one nearest to Osaka Station with 2 baths. Other hotels smaller quads with 1 bathroom. Happy to anchor here in our trips in Osaka, Kyoto, Nara, Kobe and Nagoya. We were well taken care of. Thank you Hotel Monterey Le Frere Osaka!

Our first stop in Japan. Set the bar very high.

The location was perfect. Close to train stations. Breakfast was delicious. Everything was so clean and the staff kind and friendly. We were given a larger room upon checkin without even requesting one.
