A peaceful and worth the money stay with nice location

I liked the staff and the hostel.

The ventilation was really less in our dorm. As it is a beach place it gets really hot and humid.

Amazing staff and location

I stayed three nights in this Hostel, and its great location and staff was really worth it. Overall it was a great place to stay in Varkala, and the best part was definitely the lovely staff who help you with anything you need from booking activities, taxis to giving you the best addresses nearby for food and coffee.

Like other travelers have said, the non AC rooms are very stuffy so make sure you book an AC one if you are sensitive to this.

Very big common area and they organize different activities during the week. Position is great.

Toilets facilities could be improved, other than that I think for the price you pay is a good place to say although during the Christmas period is not worth it since they increase the prices a lot

We loved staying at HostelExp. The staff were so friendly, helpful and kind and the atmosphere they helped to create by getting people together and involved in evening activities was fantastic. Nothing was ever too much of an ask for them. We felt so safe and at home there. Such a brilliant place to be. Also the Caf sells really tasty food at a reasonable price and the beach is only a 5 minute walk away.

The dormitory bathrooms and the kitchen could be updated a little, but for the price of the dorms you really can't complain

Lovely outside the cottage!

Location was lovely. Really good staff. I liked the overall ambience. Their canteen's porridge is a hit <3. Loved it.

I travelled with my partner and it was a good stay in terms of couple safety but the cottages were not pretty well maintained. Couldn't sleep the first night because of insect noises. The second day, it got an insect crawling in the bathroom while I was showering. The cottage was not that lit and comfortable. Not worth 2500/day for sure. I didn't like the cottage stay, not sure about the dorms though. Rest people were nice, location was lovely, outside the cottage everything was good!

Avoid if you don't prefer dogs around or want a private room

People at the front desk were helpful and cooperative.

Too many dogs in the premises. I didn't know about it and I just couldn't deal with it despite my best efforts to adjust. I wish I had known this earlier. Plus, their independent room isn't worth the hefty price. I was extremely tired and that's why switched from dormitory to private room. But the room was bare minimum standard for a price of 2.5K.
