Guests had a pleasant surprise staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites Amarillo East. The rooms were large and comfortable, with updated furnishings. The staff, including housekeeping and the front desk, (Read More) were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was great and varied each day. Despite being located near truck stops, the hotel felt safe and the rooms were quiet. The hotel also had a well-equipped gym and was pet-friendly. Overall, guests enjoyed their experience and would stay again.

Wouldnt Stay Here Again

Good location. Parking.

Some staff unhelpful/annoyed. Very loud mechanical humming noise that never ceases; possibly pool equipment? No non-pet rooms. Initially placed directly next to elevator & ice machines; that should be the last room given out only when 100% full, which they werent.

We had items stolen from our car the night that we stayed. Apparently it happens a lot there from what the staff told me.

Good

I liked the scrambled eggs.

I have a dog. The grass was about a foot deep and this made it hard for my dog to find a place to tinkle. The mosquitos were horrible around the building. My $50 dog fee should have been refunded due to no issues.
