Have been travelling to this hotel for years. Tan by a lovely family. Staff are very friendly and I would highly recommend

It is about a 15 min drive outside Sorrento so it may not suit if you want to be closer. There is a shuttle bus that drops residents to Sorrento each day and you need to book on to it in advance. There is a lovely village (SanAgata) out the back where there are lovely people running restaurants and bars! Has all you would need as a base to explore the Amalfi Coast.

I had an excellent time

The view was exceptional, the breakfast was plentiful and the staff were great always making sure that you wanted for nothing and the cleaning staff were great also the room was cleaned every day even if it didn't require it This was our 2nd trip to the Grand Hermitage and would go back again

If i was to be picky it would just be the bus up and down to town could run a little later but in saying that it wouldn't put me off going back

Grand Hotel Hermitage, Sant'Agata - Two nights is not enough!

The view from our room was spectacular. Pictures online are the same as in person. The full breakfast was delicious offering an array of food. The staff was very professional and helpful. A short walk up the hill to see Monastero di San Paolo for a magnificent view at the top. Great food at Bar Orlando in Sant'Agata just a 15-minute walk away. It was actually nice not staying in downtown Sorrento, as there were so many tourists......much quieter and more relaxed at Grand Hotel Hermitage. The front desk can arrange a boat rental for you to use all day or you can go to the marina and get it yourself for the same price. We boated along the Amalfi coast and swam in the Tyrrhenian Sea. We thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night visit, just wish it was a bit longer. Thank you.

The pool was cold, and I don't think it was heated. The shuttle for pickup was not available when we arrived. Therefore, we had to take a local bus, which lets all of the school children on first and we had to wait quite some time before we could get onto a bus that was not full. I would suggest running your shuttle more when the children are in school. The location really isn't within walking distance to Sorrento.

I highly recommend this marvelous hotel and 100% hope to stay here again!

I cannot speak highly enough about Grand Hotel Hermitage...From the stunningly beautiful views to all the wonderful staff who made us feel incredibly welcome. Tony was especially funny and we loved his cocktails by the pool! Our room was well air conditioned and kept very clean. The location was perfect for us as it didn't feel at all touristy. We had everything we needed on site and in the lovely little local town but equally we had easy access (thanks to the complimentary hotel shuttle) to visit the much busier Sorrento at our own leisure. I owe an extra special thanks to the staff for how they took care of everything...I was quite sick one night and therefore unable to make a boat trip that I had previously booked but the staff took all the details and rearranged everything for me no trouble at all. They provided my friend with a great selection of gluten free breakfasts each morning and when we had to check out very early on our final day we were given a very generous take away breakfast. Thank you Grand Hotel Hermitage!

Lovely clean friendly hotel. Great food and few mins walk to a lovely little village with great restaurants.

The hotel provides a shuttle service up and down to Sorrento which is great but would be better if the return service was a little later than 8.30pm

I wouldnt pick another hotel if I returned to this area.

Old school family run hotel, away from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento but walking distance to the lively village of Lubranese. The hotel staff are excellent, and views are 2nd to none. Its the kind of place where you get to know the other guests and you likely will meet them when you come back next year!

Breakfast buffet could have been better and more varied day to day. Beds were a little firm.
