Very underwhelming hotel which needs to decide what it wants to be.

Rooms are clean and hotel is centrally located opposite a nice park. Within walking distances of all attractions and restaurants.

I must be honest in that was I was quiet underwhelmed by my stay. I had expected more for the price I paid and the setting of the hotel. It attempts to portray itself as grand, posh English hotel. While it might achieve this with two old Bentleys outside, in truth its an overpriced run of the mill hotel. Theres not even a doorman. The interior of the hotel lacked any Christmas decoration imagination. The reception area is bland with no character and the entire bar and dining area lack any atmosphere. Its a real shame because it has the potential to be so much more. Its quite extraordinary that they wanted to charge 26 pounds per day for your car to park on premises. This is nothing other than extortion and should be reviewed. It leaves a bitter taste once youve discovered the flaws of the hotel and worked out what is and is not. In truth I decided to rather park it in a park and ride which was half the price for the 2 nights. The room I stayed in had a nice view of the park but had no double glazing so was pretty noisy. Not what youd expect from this type of hotel. Further, the room was a lot smaller than I had estimated and the double bed is on the extreme small side of being a double bed. In conclusion, the hotel is centrally located and clean. But I think it needs to up its offering if it wants to be the hotel it thinks it is.

The bedroom had lots of little flies and the bathroom had mouldy floor tiles. Breakfast was pre-cooked and didnt taste fresh. Pastries were dry and fruit was all pre-cut and dried out. All the towels were so worn out and frayed.

Gorgeous central Cambridge location stay at affordable prices !

It was centrally located overlooking a park. The jazz band created a relaxing atmosphere when having drinks or dinner. It has parking outside the hotel and an lovely entrance.
