Disappointing

Great place but management sucks

Nice asthetic design of the place, view from common area balcony

When I arrived it started raining and the hotel is far from road I was expecting some help in carrying luggage as i should but I did not receive it, me and my driver had to carry down the hill 3 suitcases ourselves. Then in the night I had placed order for dinner early on at 8p.m and by 10:30 the dinner didn't arrive. Upon calling the staff says they forgot to prepare our order. I tried calling the manager to report this misconduct by his staff but he didn't pick up the phone. We had to sleep empty stomach that night.

THE GO TO PLACE :)

Sugar Cyber Retreat, previously known as Firdaus stay is one of my favourite stays till date. I have opted for a 8pax dorm stay, and I must say, not just their luxurious rooms but ever the dorms give you a comfortable cosy feel that you'd never forget. The ambience and view of the valley from the balcony is something that you'd never want to leave. The stay was special and memorable just because of the sweetest and caring staff there. And I'm so glad to have met Ashwin at this place. Ashwin had made this stay a go to place for me, I'd always look forward to visit this stay whenever I plan a getaway in and around Himachal just because of The vibe that Ashwin had created at this stay. To everyone, whenever you plan to visit Sugar cube retreat, do not forget to ask for Ashwin as you wouldn't want to miss hanging out with him when in Fagu :)

not recommended for solo females due to inappropriate behaviour.

this property is in a beautiful location, surrounded by nature. the place is so well designed architecturally. all the kitchen are service staff were pleasant although I didnt get to talk with them much as they didnt speak much English.

Ive been considering whether to write this review or not as I dont want to ruin the business because of the actions of one person. I had a really inappropriate experience with the manager who asked me to move into his dorm room to sleep. he also messaged me inappropriate and unprofessional things on instagram. I do not recommend this place if you are a solo female traveller.

Amazing, awesome, lovely, great

The location & view. Also the manager Ashwin was very sweet & helpful to guide through local places to visit. Staff was also smiling with no hunch whatsoever. Would highly recommend if you are looking for a scenic stay with good basic amenities & pocket friendly.

Remarkable !!!

the staff was extremely friendly specially the manager Ashwin made the stay very comfortable.. truly felt like a home away from home. Id have even contemplated staying longer but had other commitments. the stag was so good and ever ready to help. you could get food all day whatever was on the menu. the view from the honeymoon suite where I stayed for 4 nights was to die for. overall a fantastic experience would definitely recommend to friends n family

lovely property and location but spoilt by the property management

the location was superb and the propertys interiors were good.

lets start with the property manager who doesnt know how to handle his clients and is clearly inexperienced. he single handedly spoilt the entire trips mood by his lack of communication in terms of meals provided (whats included and whats not) and we ended up with a huge bill in the end (even with full board package) which wouldnt have happened had he been more transparent. in the end we felt cheated bcoz we werent told whats what. bread toast and corn flakes were charged at a premium and no mention of whether they were even chargeable. managers attitude was the worst Ive ever seen at any property. its the first time this has happened to us in all our years of booking at booking.com secondly the day we arrived we were told the conti chef had left for an emergency (which felt like a lie) and only indian and chinese options on menu were available whoch werent much either. breakfast was same menu for all 3 days. food itself was alright from the limited options we had. lastly they were severely short staffed and 1 poor guy was handling everything which felt bad to us. in the end that guy also wasnt available to carry our bags up the mountain and i had to carry my 3 bags by myself with no help from the property manager since i refused to pay the amount they demanded for the food.
