Guests at Eskdale Lodge praised the lovely and homely accommodation, friendly staff, and great location. Bad

Not recommended, lived in the vincity of the hotel for 35 years and stayed there quite a few times

Warm and clean room

Saff unfriendly , mattress on the bed worn and so uncomfortable, shower head needed attention, no seal on the pipe connection. The place hasn't got the welcoming feel that it used to have . Having no evening restaurant in the evenings, If known I wouldn't have booked.

Great value for money and central for everything

There was a party being held which was a bit noisy until 11pm

Disappointing

Very basic, no breakfast available and limited parking.

Nice bar area

The bedroom was cold and uninviting. The bed was very uncomfortable and needs a new mattress.

Very good

For our needs location good. Owner and staff very helpful and friendly. Water hot, good shower, all nice and warm.

Lovely hotel but listing needs to be updated as food not available

Fantastic hosts, lovely old building and great location. Check in was very easy and owner was very knowledge of the local area.

Excellent value for money

We often stay here & we are always made welcome. Although the rooms are a bit tired they are very clean warm & comfortable. There is a lovely bar selling a good variety of drinks
