all about money making, still a good resort for kids

Only good thing in our otherwise horrible stay here. This is an all inclusive resort, with ample activities to keep the kids busy. There are many activities to keep family engaged busy all day long. Kids paradise club is a specific area where kids can enjoy their own time under the supervision of staff and with/without the presence of parents. Activities all day, water slides etc keep them busy

The reason which made our stay horrible here is the front desk Staff, particularly management is very rude. They don't have any listening ears to customers grievances. The front desk do their best and hearing and listening but the managers are extremely rude. It appeared what they all cared was only money making, charging extra wherever they see any opportunity. Its all business and money making especially at the most busiest time of year, when they don't care about a specific customer or so but are more concerned about the more number of people. All the resorts do well in most scenarios but its only the most specific or exception cases, where a resort would stand out based on how it deals and resolves customers concerns. For our scenario, managers were extremely impolite and made our stay bad. The manager kept giving same one liner with rude expressions and didn't try to resolve our concern, even when we tried talking through an agency. Out of three Elevators , only two would work atmost of the times. Water stopped at intermediate intervals while in use at the washrooms. Food was a good mix but after 2 days it looked all the same. No varieties or change to the menu. Same Mexican/international cuisine every day. Specific restaurants required reservation early in the morning at 8 am, but food was terrible, where we tried i.e. Italian and Mexican. Nothing exquisite about it at all. nowhere this is even a 4 start resort, I can only rate it 3 start due to the activities / opportunities it provided for kids.

The amenities were great!!

The food was mediocre at best, the rooms are outdated. We stayed on the 4th floor and the wall by the elevator button had ants coming in and out of it our entire 8 day stay.

It has a nice view of the ocean - but so do most hotels in Cancun

I could hear the man snoring next door so loudly it felt like he was sleeping beside me in the same bed. The room was not properly cleaned. There were hairs on the table and in the sink - there was weird mould on the floor - the bathroom was so dirty we couldnt take a shower. Honestly absolutely shocked at the state of this hotel. The service was also not good - we were not offered any help with our luggage.

Great place, but food lets it down.

Wonderful staff, helpful and fun. Clean rooms. Good entertainment.

The food isn't good or consistent. In the specialist restaurants, the steak and fish were very watery. The Italian piazza restaurant was by far the best.

I didnt like the buffet food and its imposible to reserve for the restaurants. They have a time frame, I tried at different times and it still said not available. I also feel that the place needs a little renovation its not a five star resort at all. Front desk customer service is horrible.

Never going back there.

Access to the beach, which is true for all hotels in the hotel zone.

First off, Crown Paradise is not worth $500 a night indeed. Secondly, Booking.com is probably in bed with them as the rate of this resort is $200-$250 max per night during the peak season (Christmas and New Year), according to their own staff, locals, and manager. Evidently, Booking is running a scam to rip off people (Americans most likely.) No one ever picks up the call at the resort; I wonder if those numbers are even operational or if the staff was instructed to ignore the calls anyway. I was promised an Airport shuttle, and no one cared to show up. The food was terrible and repetitive, even at their so-called fine dining restaurants on-site. Last but not least, local drivers are goons who intimidate for more money and are very rude. I am never going back to Cancun/Mexico. Only god can save this beautiful country.

Bathroom needs an update!

We loved the friendliness of staff. Our housekeeping was great...room always cleaned,fresh towels and replenished the beverages daily. Loved the food at the Italien and Steakhouse restaurants. Disappointed about the food options on Seafood night at the Buffet...no shrimp,crab,lobster.

The bathtub faucet was almost falling off!.There was a strong paint smell when entering the room as part of the tub was re painted. WE HAD NO RUNNING WATER IN OUR ROOM AFTER 6PM. HAD TO GO DOWN TO FRONT DESK TO GET IT TURNED ON. Did not like housekeeping coming 8 times to our room before 11 am check out time on our last day.
