Nothing to like, its located in dirty area. I know this because i live in the area and booked this place for some family that wanted to visit.

STAY AWAY!

We had a confirmed reservation 3 days before when my husband contacted the property. Then we did not. We received a text message around 2pm the day of our scheduled arrival they did not have any room available and offered "relocation" to Beverly Hills for the same price. When we asked for clarification what happened, they simply ignored us.

No customer service. Whoever managed this place does not have any concept that they were business as a service provider. They were rude, unprofessional and very challenged in the English language. This place looked like a boarding house in a third world country.

weird experience but I got to sleep at least.

it was pretty inexpensive and clean.

it felt more like a house I was wandering into than a hostel. most of the people there only spoke Russian and there was no communication about what was available to me. usually you get a little tour when you first get to a hostel. I think my roommate lives there full-time given the stacks of books and clothes. he also snored and the bed was uncomfortable

Losing half money because of booking.com

Safe location. A good chance to meet travelers from Russia or Ukraine because owners are Russians. I will book directly with owner if I have a chance in the future to stay in Northridge to save money.

The rate is different if booking via booking.com which is double price with working directly with the owner. It is complicated feeling, it is family style, so don't be surprised if a lot of owners usually go to your room to access the closet and the pool unexpectedly. you will share the room with four other people on bunk beds, you will hear people snoring, slamming doors, phone alarms ringing throughout the morning, and feeling the bed sliding both sides when people above or below you turning their back while sleeping. Also a young colored owner will watch you to remind (or alarm) you if you wear someone's slipper in the backyard or wash your dish after meal.

The bathroom and our room was very modern and clean

They dont really have a Check in System. The Host gave us the wrong pin number for the front door. We tried the pin again and again but it didnt work. A man living in the hostel opened us the door and treated us as of we wanted to break in the house eventhough we showed him our booking. Apparently there are people (maybe Family?) living in the hostel that are very rude. They made fun of us behind our backs. One of the people living there told us the pin number for our room in front of all the hostel guests. We didnt feel secure. The people that live there are in the living room and kitchen all day long. The house has a weird vibe.
