Great location and everything you need.

I really loved that the property was right next to the beach and the area around is quiet and ideal for families. The WiFi was also good!! Room was well equipped and the air conditioning worked.

The restaurant was lacking in any atmosphere and even if you were staying there they charged 20 baht to use the toilet. They have snorkel gear to rent but its super grubby and a lot of it doesnt work.

Big fish resort has the one of the best quality/price ratio Ive seen and the location is simply amazing. It stands on a beautiful and peaceful beach, the hotel Is wooden and simple and fits well into the landscape, a dream like scenario really. The bay is quiet, calm, not crowded at all, and has a beautiful sunset. The rooms are perfectly fine and the restaurant has great service, okay prices with an amazing view.

The big problem we had at this hotel and the reason we didnt enjoy the experience was the lady at the reception, Teay. She was extremely extremely rude to us, really inconsiderate at all times, zero helpful and made sure we knew she was fine with us being uncomfortable. Honestly the worst person Ive dealt with in hotels, it was a huge shame. She has no empathy and no interest in our comfort, it was truly very sad. Would definitely recommend this place because of its location but because of this horrible service I will recommend going to another resort in the same bay! The bay is what makes this hotel amazing!

Basic, clean, on a quiet secluded beach. 5-10 minutes drive to town centre, few restaurants close by.

Air con wasnt great in the room. Not enough sun loungers for all guests.

Location was amazing! Perfect access to an amazing beach.

Office staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful. Room was unpainted and grey and dark like a cell. Would have been worth paying extra for a nicer option.

Had a nice stay

The location is great (though a bit far from city center if that's something you like)! Right next to or on the beach. The lady from the restaurant was sooo nice! Had lovely breakfasts there and nice fruitjuices/shakes. Lady at the reception helped us with whatever we needed without trying to gain from it. We rented a moped but had to bring it back very early morning. No problem for the staff, so kind!

The room felt like it wasn't finished. Concrete walls with no paint or whatsoever. Layout of the room wasn't the most convenient either. For our room: windows had mosquito-nets, however, the door had small gaps so they still got in The bathroom was a bit small so when you take a shower everything gets wet. And pay attention to your booking: not all rooms have a hot shower. This sucks when it rains a lot and you're cold ;) But for the money you pay for it, it's more than sufficient and a very nice place to stay!

Location, location, location.

Location on the beach. Very pleasant tropical garden venue. Airco was good. Wifi was good. Everyday two free small bottles of water.

Bungalows are worn and need updating. Beds very hard even at Thai standards. The nylon sheets and the (too small) bedspread were uncomfortable. Often no hot water. Only one bedstand. No water basin/bucket at the foot of te stairs to wash the sand off your feet, so that the bungalow floor becomes a sandpit. No broom in the bungalows to sweep the floor. Non-residents occupied the beach chairs belonging to the resort.

Poor

Roof leaked miles away from town and taxis really expensive.

Cheap

My roof leaked and I had to move apartment in a downpour resulting in a soaking. I never felt safe on the Island but that is out of control of the hotel. Additionally I hired a bicycle for one day and it was in a shocking state of repair.
