Very good

That all chalets are close to the beach. The pool was clean. Staff were friendly.

That only one restaurant was open. Not the range of cocktails and beers that were on the menu. No diet soft drinks.

Romantics delight. Beautiful views

The staff are what make this place amazing. They all have a smile on their face and do their upmost best to facilitate anything you need. Sheila was spectacular. She made our stay sensational she listened she understood and she executed brilliantly to all our needs she really puts a smile on your face. The views are beautiful and you have everything you need in the resort. We very rarely left!

The taxi service was quite late on one occasion we were told half an hour and ended up waiting for over 90 mins

Location, facilities and decor.

Food and management of restaurant was terrible. A piece of advice - keep the menu smaller so that its easier to manage orders.

This is going to be a long review so hang tight and read on! Okay first of all I will highlight the good service first. 1. Friendly staff 2. Shuttle to and from jetty were smooth. They even have buggy ride to your chalet which was amazing

Okay shifting gear to the things that Berjaya SHOULD improved on. FIRSTLY, the chalet is old we get it but on our first night, the handle that should hold the shower head thingy broke. Will attached the photos for reference. We contacted the maintenance and they sorted it out asap.but then again, should not happened. First impression was bad already.There was an issue with the tv where the remote didnt work only to found out that I shouldnt use the remote but to press the power button first where can be found on the tv. Like old style. So confusing and of course its an old Singer tv. Never knew they still make tvs but its disappointing to promote Roomies app when you cant even watch it from your (not-smart) tv. Can only view via phone? I mean we are on an island, not everyone enjoys drinking by the bar. Ppl like us like to chill on their beds watching movies at night. SECONDLY, would be the food. We arrive on Weds and went straight to the restaurant for ala carte lunch. I order Nasi goreng Nusantara. It says with sambal udang. When it came only ONE udang in a small bowl with the sambal. Cant you give me atleast 2 udang? So stingy for a rm30+ price ya. Yes we know we are an island and we EXPECTED to be charged high prices but ONE shrimp is a bit too stingy for me. Like how can i enjoy sambal udang with only one udang? My hubs order chicken chop but the chicken was cooked like tempura?!! Oh dear and that cost RM50?! If you were going to charge RM50 please atleast make it look like rm50 and not some pasar malam chicken tempura. Its just chicken chop how is it so difficult. Google might help? We couldnt be bothered to take photos bc we were too tired and hungry. Breakfast spread not much choice at all. But on friday they added 1/2 more menus. So not worth going on a weekday bc they will be selective? I dont know. THIRDLY, please please train your waiters to be a bit more professional. Please ASK before taking our plates.

Overall nice stay despite multiple sandflies infection.

Dive centre - very patient and friendly instructors, friendly hotel staff, shuttle provided, clean rooms and eco-friendly cleaning option available. Good effort for the environment! Impressive fire performance. Amazing sunset and beach.

Matahari restaurant services have to be improved and staff be better trained in communication. Not so clean pillow cover and bedsheet with hole. Room drainage extremely slow causing water to flood out. Should not be this case for 4 star resort. Chalet with 2 rooms was just 2interconnecting rooms (I.e. no common living area). Health concern for staff performing the fire show on whether they need to put kerosene in their mouth. Hotel management to look at the staff health in this aspect.

No need to leave once here, full relaxation

The resort has everything you need, you don't need to leave. The beach, pool, diving are all available at the resort. It wasn't too crowded meaning you always had a lounger and sun hut. The fire show that is on Fridays and Saturdays was amazing! The breakfast buffet is really delicious and has a good mix of Asian and western foods and coffee. The dinner buffet has great BBQ meat and fish, and is good value for money. The gym has a few cardio machines and some weights, it's well air conditioned so good for working out if you need a break from the sun. Staff are really wonderful and very helpful. Looking forward to coming back!
