The Host was so great. She was kind and helped me to check in properly with all the needed instructions. The place was so good, Loved the cool Breeze coming from the beach. The room was super spacious and maid had cleaned the room right before our check in. I'll book the room again just for the hospitality and it's worth the money.

Superb

The view, on one side was the Beach and on the other the Basilica Santhome. The powerful sea breeze was very refreshing, very friendly couple who manages the property lives downstairs . We went walking to the beach and thoroughly enjoyed it.we also walked to the Basilica.

Bad & unreliable property

Nothing. I had a bad experience

I had an extremely bad experience with this property. After confirmation of booking, when I tried to contact many times, the person did not pick up the call. Even from the railway station when I called them, they didn't reply. When I & my family reached the place, they said the room cannot be given because of some water pipeline maintenance work. Though the lady of the homestay was apologetic for the inconvenience caused to us, they could have at least responded to my messages & calls and told me the status in advance. About the location, it is very near to the beach, you can see the beach from the balcony. But the breeze is full of unpleasant fish smell and the place is sorrounded by congested buildings. I asked the lady if this was the room that we would have got, she said yes. If that was the room that we were going to get, thank God I didn't get it. The flat was ill maintained, rooms were dirty. This place seems to be popular with backpackers and low budget foreigners. Certainly not suitable for family. To summarise, I don't know how this place has good ratings. I booked it seeing the ratings and I wanted to be near the beach for the 31st Dec 23 night. But the property turned out to be unreliable. Please stay away if you want a decent stay.

Amazing place to stay!

Amazing property with a beach view mid of the city. Amenities were great as mentioned and the place is well maintained. Sunset view from balcony is a spectacular one and this place offers a lifetime memories. Will definitely book this place while visiting Chennai again. Thanks for the wonderful hospitality!

With its unobstructed beach view, this penthouse is the perfect haven for those who yearn for the tranquil beauty of the sea and the endless horizon stretching before them. Host was amazing friendly

Parking might be challenging thing however if you could communicate with host she will ensure that .

Stinky, hot and hard hard bed, please avoid

Nothing. Firstly, this property should not be on booking.com. This is an air bnb. You stay along with the family and I personally was t prepared or comfortable with this. I had to drag my suitcase not only into the Appartment, but once I entered here I had to also take it up and down one more floor.

The property owner forced me to pay in advance by almost a weeks this wasnt as per booking terms. The whole place stank of fish. It was awful. The beds provided were thin and very hard and the bed sheets were not big enough to cover it and it kept coming off during the night. The bathroom was in sad shape and one had to put ones hand into the flush tank to press the button, there was no cover on the flush tank. Most important part, the AC was pathetic. We were asked to use the window AC only and it provided air only to the floor as the vents were broken and it would not move up. The AC was at a lower level than the bed and as you know cold air sinks and hot air rises. So you can understand our experience. I truly wonder how people have rated this property so high? Shame on you booking.com

I came to Chennai and the host extended , not only the home but the care and love they share in a family. Thanks a lot Nalini. I wish to come back again or any time i visit Chennai. Worth every penny

It was awesome stay at sunciti apartment beach Penthouse.. property owner Mrs.Nalini made us a very comfortable stay.We felt like home stay... Spacious room, neat and clean, good amenities, private dining area, beach view corridor, looking forward to staying again when my next Chennai visit......,
