Superb

Overall stay was a pleasant one. We managed to have our room ready earlier than expected.

The hotel provide nice smelling shampoo & shower gel. Location was very accessible, all within walking distance. Breakfast service by all staff was superb too.

Room was abit dusty when we arrived. Also the pillow is too soft for comfort and if only have bigger coffee table for a quad room.

Certainly wouldn't rush back. Too many other good quality hotels within yards of this hotel/

Location and friendly staff

1st room offered was dark with no natural light as window faced a brick wall. 2nd room offered already had somebody sitting in it when we opened the door (very embarrasing for all), 3rd room OK but on a side street so looking directly into the apartments opposite. Not as good as other hotels in the same area especially as we were there to celebrate our 30th Wedding anniversary so a very special occasion for us. Was asked to sign a Privacy Contract on checking in (apparently they have a lot of famous people staying so this is a form of NDA which I wasn't happy about signing without being given the opportunity to read first). Also had 300 held on the card for potential damages to the room. Not sure what damages they were expecting a couple in their 60's to inflict on a hotel room and again-never been asked that by any of the other hotels in the area.

Exceptional

Perfect Holiday thanks to the perfect stay

The location was what attracted us to the property. The staff were very helpful. Aftab from Sorels bar was exceptionally good and kind. He is the kind of asset a hotel can have as he goes beyond when it comes to customer service. He would be one reason we decide to stay at Mariott again.

Good location and comfortable hotel for 3 night stay

It was a very comfortable room, and great location for walking all around different areas of Amsterdam. The hotel bar was also really nice.

Its a bit expensive for not having breakfast included when other hotels in Amsterdam do have a reasonably priced breakfast. I think the smaller boutique hotels are a bit nicer. There was also a huge light by our window lighting up the hotel building which was shining too much light into the bedroom.

Passable

Close to center and airport but not clean at all

Transportation from the airport to the hotel was very easy. You can go to the hotel from the airport by bus in 30 minutes. The hotel was close to the center.

The hotel was not clean at all. Even though we told them several times, they did not clean the room as we requested. Hotel staff did not help at all with cleaning.
