Superb

Beautiful and peaceful place in nature

The nature, the silence (except the many birds), the morning and afternoon kayak tour with guide from staff (free), the spacious tents, the food, the free bikes etc.

It would have been nice if you could swim in the rivers, but it wasnt allowed. It was very hot and humid when we stayed there. But then we took cold showers in our tent.

The staff was extremely kind and helpful. Mr. Sundeep was a great help during my stay with organising several trips. Biking and coffee/tea/ water are all for free. Food is very nice and tasty. Also a big thank you to Mr Vishnu and Mr Varghese for making my time there a great memory.

Picturesque setting, simple lodgings

This location provides a peaceful experience with the sounds of birds in the morning. Guests can go for short walks through plantations and by the water. Birdwatching enthusiasts will enjoy the opportunities here, and the management arranges some activities for guests.

In brief, I found the entire experience overrated, from the stay to the food and organized activities. Considering the cost, the tents are basic, positioned near a noisy parking area, and lack hot water for showers. Some room amenities mentioned, like a coffee/tea maker, were missing. Kayaking availability is subject to water levels. Room cleaning was overlooked during my three-night stay, and the food, while good, felt average for the price.q

We had a great stay at Amritara Hornbill Camp. The rooms are new renovated and looks very cozy. The bed is comfortable. Everything is pretty clean and the staff friendly. We would come again.

Peaceful river watching

This is a beautiful place, well kept, right by a pristine river. Its so lovely to sit at the reception tent and watch the water. The views from the camping tents are peaceful, with trees in front of the river so the tents feel a bit more secluded. Accommodation is basic and comfortable. Bear in mind that there is nothing else there, you can use a bike to cycle out for snacks etc if you need but there isnt much around. A taxi or tuc tuc will need to be arranged to take you to the bird sanctuary as its quite a long way. Food is available and is very good. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Definitely recommended for a quiet, peaceful immersion is nature.

An opportunity to purchase cold drinks and snacks would have been welcome. Also it would be helpful to have a list/summary of trips that could be arranged.
