Pleasant

Plenty of room in the house. Bedrooms were good with comfy beds. Very close to centre of Christchurch.

The kitchen benches were dirty and it felt like the property could do with a deep clean. Rugs were old and tired, probably should be replaced. The top floor shower didnt drain properly until we removed the hair from the trap.

Comfortable for large groups, could use a spruce up

We all had separate bedrooms and plenty of parking. The laundry facilities were very appreciated

The pictures at booking were obviously quite a few years ago. The rugs could use a good shampoo and the oven needs serious cleaning. When we preheated the oven, smoke billowed out. The property hosts were notified. Not knowing the area, we all drove past it each time we arrived there. Maybe put a sign out front

Very good

Spacious apartment with a spacious garage. Numerous windows provide good daylight in the rooms. Generally clean and tidy. Sufficient kitchenware.

Glass doors are made of glass and without curtains, feeling quite insecure especially at night.

Disappointing

the property itself is perfect for a group. Has everything you need.

Christchurch holiday homes shouldnt be using booking.com to advertise properties and maybe just stick with the websites they currently own. I was annoyed that they request photo id and credit card information beyond what you enter into booking.com. I call and explained my situation and handed over details was told that my debit card would be fine, the night before arrival I was called again at 7.30pm the night of asking for another card and photo id. This is the first holiday home that I booked via booking that has ever requested extra information like this and to be honest it just made it dodgy. I purposely felt uncomfortable didnt want to hand over my photo/ cc details via email and not via booking.com. I felt threatened and when I did finally hand my card they charged 500 dollars extra to my credit card. even after telling my multiple times that I wasnt going to have a charge and it was only to be on file and at the moment we still havent had any refunds of the deposit. I would honestly not recommend this place or company for this very reason

Less than 10 minute drive away from Christchurch CBD. Plenty of room in the house, nice large carpark to park several cars. Aircon in all rooms excluding the largest bedroom, but it wasn't needed in there. Beds were great, very clean and set up well all throughout the house. The sun room which is used as a dining room is fantastic! My 2yo daughter also loved that there was a giraffe statue next door, which you could see over the fence, or from the windows upstairs.

Its on a main road, so very noisy during the night on the weekends. Kitchen and upstairs bathroom are a little outdated. The kitchen floor was a little sticky, and upstairs bath plug was missing, and there was a golf-ball size hole in the bathroom wall. Upstairs shower floor also felt like it was weak. Back door leading to the main carpark area did not feel very secure.

Nothing major just a heads up really as the top bathroom shower doesn't drain very well.

Good

Very easy location

Could do with a little maintenance, particularly the craked panes in the overhead glazing in the conservatory. Only had 9 guests, but it would have been a bit of a struggle with the maximum of 14 with only 2 bathrooms.
