How dirty the hotel has become , go every year and just going down hill .don't think we will return unless it cleans up a bit its . It's such a shame

Room was clean , comfortable, and had biscuits to go with my morning tea.Loved the original feature of the fire place .Had choice of bath or shower and loved the handrail.Staff were very welcoming. Excellent value for money .

I have previously stayed at The Shrewsbury Hotel, but Unicorn bedroom was not of the same standard.

Location perfect, close to river walks and cathedral. Lovely town. Good, friendly service when ordering breakfast and dinner.

The room was freezing when we arrived at 2.30pm. I switched on the convector fire but it was evening before the room was comfortably warm. I kept the bathroom door open to enable some warmth into there as the bathroom was also very cold. I was able to alter the thermostat but had to keep the heating on during the night and turn it up again in the morning. The bathroom was in need of an upgrade.
