Exceptional

Everything is absolutely perfect. The tranquillity of the small village with a wonderful lady who takes care of everything and is there to help allows for a peaceful holiday. The area is ideal for relaxation as it is cooler than in other regions. And most importantly, the wind blows, which is very pleasant. I was here for the second time and will probably return again. The apartment has a dishwasher, air conditioning and a new TV. Highly recommended.

Excellent localisation, excellent view!

Great localisation: mountains, nature, silence. Excellent view from the living room and terras. Housekeeping lady comes every day to keep the villa's surrounding nice and alive, she's very kind, chatty and helpful. We loved our stay at Villa Frati Gorge!

Stunning location

Stunning location, in the mountains and away from the tourist resorts. Gionnna, who welcomed us to the apartment is the loveliest lady you could wish to meet. The homemade food she dropped off for us one of the days we were there was delicious and such a thoughtful thing to do. The apartment was very spacious and well equipped. There's lots of good walks in the area and lovely beaches on the south coast a short drive away (you'll need a car to get here and around). The pool is nice to cool off and you can happily spend a bit of time at the apartment relaxing with the pool, the views and the quiet for company

The only slight gripes /recommendations for improvement is.... The shower head really needs securing to the wall. it's a bit awkward trying to wash yourself and hold the shower head at the same time. The settee/sofa isn't the most comfortable thing in the world

The location is fantastic. Feels like in the middle of nowhere, but in reality you can reach a lot of places really quickly (by car, of course). You can enjoy the amazing mountain views and there are a lot of options for walks starting from the Villa Frati Gorge (good recommendations from the staff). The beds were comfortable. Gianna was friendly and gave us lots of information on what to do.

Despite the apartment being nicely furnished and decorated, we felt that the overall cleanliness could be improved. The staff was however open to accomodate our wishes. If you want to sleep with open windows, bring earplugs - dogs in the village bark a lot at night.

The apartment was light and airy with superb views. It was comfortable and clean. Yianna, who manages the property, was absolutely lovely. Her friendliness and kindness really made the stay special.

To reach a shop or a cafe you have to drive as there are no amenities within easy walking distance.

We have been staying in this villa for a week and are very happy with our choice. The village Frati is small, quiet, and remote but easily accessible (only 4 km) from the main road from Rethymno to Spili. The apartments are clean, towels and bed linen are changed frequently, and the kitchen is equipped with everything you may need for cooking. The natural beauty and tranquility around are enchanting. Its unfortunate that the weather was windy that week and we couldnt enjoy breakfasts and dinners on the outdoor terrace. The local host Jana is a very warm and positive woman, attentive and helpful, making sure that we were comfortable. Highly recommend!
