Exceptional

Great value location

This review is based on the main building which is larger rooms! I stayed for 24 nights and just one issue with the AC... Took them three nights to resolve it by giving us a room upgrade to the main building. Which is absolutely a great location to spend that amount of nights. I do not recommend the standard room for more than a few nights, it's TINY! Staff was absolutely professional and friendly. It was clean, very secure and quiet. I recommend 4J Lodge!

Bed mattress was to hard. The breakfast is basic but for some people it might be okay.

Fine for a day or so, hopefully you dont get the top floor

Good location to koh san road unfortunately thats my only positive

Room is super basic photos look better than what they are. Air con the flap which moves the air was broken and inverted incorrectly so It ended up blocking the air flow and blowing it to the roof and only allowing 1/4 of the air to pass (other settings blocked it entirely) My room was on the top floor next I what I assume is the water pump/ storage. I noticed when I had a shower I could here the pump working (instant on/off nose repeatedly and knew it was to do the with the water as the pressure raised and dropped with the noise) this isnt my issue my issue is due to the above noise when everyone is having their morning shower I can constantly here the pump switching on and off for 1-2 hours not nice when your trying to sleep. Another issue was I asked for a late checkout I know they dont have to provide this(that is fine) but took 4 messages on two forms of communication to get an answer. Once I final got in touched they advised they had no contact yet all my messages where delivered and we had communicated by that method previously with no problems. Highly disappointing from a communication perspective. Check out was 10am most hotels offer midday checkout I wouldnt mind if their check in was early buts its the same as every other hotel.

Felt unsafe and was not the best, only the location was a selling point.

Free breakfast was nice and convenient.

The bed, the cockroaches, the disaster of a design to the bathroom. One of the doors couldnt be properly closed and the other was hard to shut and didnt feel secure. Also having the address to the wrong 4J Lodge and being given two different key collection codes and numbers.

I would rather go elswhere

The location is close to the main street and the personal is trying to help mostly.

The breakfast is a joke, It is served in restaurant but you only get a piece of bread and butter. The room we had had mold, and the bathroom pipe was pumping the water all night, so unless you wanna sleep with "glogglog" coming from your wall all night, I would not recommend it. Also there is no water pressure. Plus the reception is elsewhere than the hostel and there is rarely anyone there. We stored the backpack in there and when we came to pick it up, we waited for them like 15 mins and then they couldn't find it for another 15 mins. Also, the girls there didn't speak English which made the process super frustrating. Long story short, not recommended.

Location good. Staff friendly. Bed comfy & big window. Aircon & fan work well. Free hot & cold water available but have to go to 3rd floor.

No daily room clean. Sign says 4-5 days In a hot climate a long time for same towels! Also pictures on Booking.com show 2 different buildings so outdoor area was not as per pictures.

Very good

The staff are super helpful and friendly. I like the breakfast area which is surrounded by plants. It's great that I can have lunch or dinner at the on-site restaurant and the vibe is great with chill music.

The breakfast offered is simple and the same everyday: toasts and cereal. But hey, something is better than nothing ;)
