Around 175 kilometres away from Bangalore, BR Hills, also known as Billigiriranga Hills, is a hill range and one of the most popular road trips from Bangalore. BR hills is an abode to Billigiri Rangaaswamy Temple and BRT Wildlife sanctuary. This range of hills is a deific conjuncture for the Eastern and the Western Ghats, thus opening myriad opportunities for forest adventures and sports. 

BRT Wildlife Sanctuary is truly an upland paradise for wildlife lovers and photographers with its rich biodiversity. The Billigiri Rangaswamy Temple dedicated to Lord Ranganathan. The temple is situated at the topmost point of the hills and offers a spectacular bird’s eye view of the entire region. The big champak tree locally known as Dodda Sampige Mara is another attraction here. This towering tree is 34 metres tall and bears quaint yellow flowers in spring. The terrain here will also let you indulge in activities such as trekking, river rafting and fishing. Tigers, leopards, wild dogs, lesser cats, sloth bears and giant flying squirrel are some from the animal group. This jungle safari will consume up to 2 hours. It is the time to enjoy activities like trekking, fishing and river rafting.
Day 2- Buckle up your shoes as you visit Dodda Sampige Mara, 2000 years old Champa tree which is 24 km away from the city centre. This might consume almost half of your day. While returning you can choose to stop at markets for getting souvenirs of forest products.
