Imagicaa, Lonavala Overview

Adlabs Imagicaa, opened in April 2013, is one of the most popular entertainment theme parks that is often referred to as a one-stop recreation centre. It is located on Mumbai-Pune Expressway near Khopoli and is one of the latest additions to getaways from Pune and Mumbai. The park is divided into three entertainment zones namely Theme Park, Snow Park and Water Park with a plethora of entertainment options that include live shows, roller coasters, water park, themed entertainment shows, and even a refreshing water park.

It is the brainchild of a renowned media firm called Adlabs Entertainment Limited, owned by the entrepreneur and film producer Manmohan Shetty. The place is packed with a plethora of amusements and leisure activities suitable for all age groups. Apart from luxurious accommodation, dining and shopping options, this theme park also offers some self-made fascinating characters, live performances of acrobats, hip-hop dancing, magic show and several other enthralling activities. Located at a distance of 75 km from Mumbai and about 91 km from Pune, it is a favourite among travellers of both cities!

Imagica Adlabs is built over a vast area of around 300 acres with a budget of about INR 1600 crore displaying a magnificent state of the art infrastructure.

Imagicaa Theme Park

As the name suggests, the Imagicaa Adlabs Theme Park is a thrilling layout which has a wide assortment of rides ranging from Nitro which is a crazy 120 kilometers per hour roller coaster to Dare 2 Drop which is a gravity drop from a massive height of 132 feet. Scream Machine operates like a rotating pendulum which gathers momentum by spinning, and then slowly starts to swing. Visit all the major monuments India without moving your feet with the ride called 'I for India' which is indoor ride on a 90-foot wide screen showcasing 59 landmarks, or take a trip down the history of the world with Rajasaurus River Adventure which is an informative expedition about dinosaurs and pre - historic era.

Other rides here include Deep Space Roller Coaster, Gold Rush Roller Coaster, Salimgarh which is a ride through a fictitious haunted town, The Detective Bow Wow Show which is a live interactive comedy show, Alibaba aur Chalis Chorr, Wrath of the Gods, Prince of the Dark Waters – Cinema 360, Motion Box Theatre, Mambo Chai Chama, Splash Ahoy, Bump It Boats, Save the Pirate, Loch Ness Expplorers, Happy Wheelss, Humpty’s Fall, Wagon - O – O – Wheel, Tubbby Takes Off and The Magic Carousel.

Imagicaa Water Park

Another popular attraction in Imagicaa Adlabs is its Water Park which hosts a number of water rides for you to enjoy with your friends and family. The rides here include Loopy Whoopy which is a vertical drop into a tunnel slide, Zip Zap Zoom which is a ride through close aqua tubes, Yell - O! water slide, Swirl Whirl water slide. A labyrinth of twists and turns, The Screamer is another thrilling ride in addition to Raftaasctic family raft ride, Splash which is an open water slide and Boomeranggo where you experience weightlessness. Other rides here are The Pirate Bay, Floatsa, Wacky Wavess, Zooballoo and a kiddie pool for the younger ones.

Imagicaa Snow World

Now Imagicaa Adlabs Snow World is a unique one to say the least.The largest Snow Park near Mumbai, this park is spread over a massive area of 15,000 square feet. You can enjoy simulated snowfall as you enjoy a hot cuppa or go all out and enjoy a game of snow basketball, slide down icy slopes in toboggans and rafts, climb the rocky snowy mountains or have a snowball fight. Other activities available here include snow hiking, snow castle and snow dance floor where you can dance your time away in the midst of this snowy setting!

AN interesting place to eat here is the Arrmada which is themed like a ship and is good for a quick bite. Zeze Bar + Grill is an African - Indian themed restaurant which makes it an iinteresting option as well.

Imagica, Mumbai is a thrill adventure park that offers three types of rides: Theme Park, Water Park and Snow Park. I visited the Theme Park during Diwali break and it was an exceptionally fun day. It (Read More) is important to note the bus timing as well close days for Imagica. Also, there are discount offers for students on certain days that should also be checked before booking tickets. The rides offered at Imagica are totally fun and thrilling. But some of the rides were closed or under renovation when I visited. The entire ride itinerary and guide is available online. Most of the rides are as promised. The waiting lines at Imagica can be a real hassle and if you can, do look into buying VIP tickets if you have limited time and want to complete most of the rides.

Imagica, a thrill experience of three sorts i.e Theme Park, Water Park and Snow Park (new). The best and most adventurous is the Theme Park attracting the fearless children and also the daring oldies (Read More). ‘AGE DOESN'T MATTER HERE ONLY HEIGHT DOES!’ Out of the various rides, Rajasurus river adventure, Deep Space and ‘Alibaba’ are the must go for all kids while Nitro, Scream Machine, Dare to Drop (D2) and Gold Rush should not be missed by individuals of any age. It is a best one day of adventurous escape.
