Exceptional

Nice, central and an incredibly friendly team

Our stay at Cottage 42 was a short one, because we planned only one night in Nuwara Eliya. However, also if we stayed longer - this would be the place to book. The staff - Roshan & Manoj were extremely welcoming and didnt miss an opportunity to be there for us whenever we had a question. The room was so nice, spacious and bright. The location couldnt have been better, as we were able to walk to everything you could want to do in the town. Theres also a nice pub and cafe down the street to go for a drink in the evening. All in all we can only recommend the stay at Cottage 42! :) Thanks again, Roshan & Manoj!

We can not recommend this hotel

The staff was very nice and tried their best. They also woke us up and prepared a breakfast package for us when we got up early for our planned hiking tour.

The seat of the toilette was old and worn (Brown spots everywhere) should really be changed. Our bed broke down as we sat down, only wooden boards instead of a slatted frame. The bed linen was dirty and seemed almost used, we called the reception and it has been replaced. summing it up, the room including the bathroom was dirty, dust everywhere, spiderwebs in the shower and there was black mould forming under silicone joints. Way too expensive for this conditions!

Great Location, right at the center.

When I got there there was already 2 people that were waiting to be checked in. There was no one on the front desk we had to call a few numbers.

It was really nice ! Very helpful staff. Highly recommended Place. Had a delicious breakfast. Really Nice cool and calm place. Can access all the destinations from this Hotel. Highly recommended. !!!
