deceivingly advertised: overpriced and overpromised.

There is a full set of champagne flutes, a bag of crisps and lollipops for christmas, and wonderful birds regularly visiting the balcony.

This apartment / hotel room combines the inconveniences of both for an annoying experience at 300 NZD per night: The studio was not once cleaned during my six-day stay. I was asked to carry out garbage and recycling by myself; then, two new garbage bags were allocated at reception. Despite being advertised as 100% smoke-free, ashtrays abound, and smoking is permitted on the balconies. The studio is advertised as meals can be prepared in the well-fitted kitchenette. it is equipped with a fridge and microwave but lacks essential items like a sink and practical dishes for actual meal preparation. I was told booking dot com would issue an invoice, which was wrong and took another hour of my life to sort out. Lastly, providing my email for the invoice led to unauthorized subscription to a newsletter, to which I had not given consent on check-in.

Excellent and value for money

The hotel is situated in a quiet area of the town and a short walking distance to the lake and Wanaka tree. The hotel has a swimming pool, hot tub, car park and laundryfacilities. The suit room is large, clean and comfortable with stove, microwave oven and large balcony.

there was cobwebs on the ceiling fan also on the patio railings , and asked them to clean them and it never happened. the front door did not fit properly in the door frame

Trash and shipping containers instead of parking in a timeshare focused property

This was a timeshare and we were not treated as nicely as timeshare owners. In addition there were shipping containers and trash in the parking area in front of our building taking up all but three parking spaces. We asked to be moved to another room because of it and they had no equivalent rooms to offer us. The kitchenette they advertise is laughable with just a microwave, a mini fridge and they used the rest of the closet to store dishes. No cooktop, no dishwasher, no sink for the kitchenette. And because they used the closet area for dishes there was nowhere for the mini safe to go and they placed it way too high for the average person to reach. I literally had to stand on a chair to use it. Very poor design. No detergent was provided in the free laundry room and they never filled it back up despite our request.

Wanaka is beautiful

Nowhere to wash dishes other than the bathroom sink....not sanitary. Safe didn't work. Blew a fuse by using the toaster...on its own.

Lovely property with pool and hot tub

Spacious room on attractive property about a 5 minute car ride to town. Staff very accommodating. Free washer/dryer and detergent much appreciated.

Several rooms were being renovated so there were many workers around. Bookings.com evidently failed to notify them that I needed 2 beds and there were no such rooms available. Staff did provide a rollaway but it was not very comfortable
