Nice breakfast, convenient parking, a nice size of the room.

The L-shaped room had a window positioned in such a way that it felt as if there was no window at all. Even though the size of the room was nice, it felt like a den. It was not properly cold in the room fridge while it made sounds impossible to have it on at night. The safe was torn out of the wall.

cosy hotel with really lovely terrace, garden and swimming pool

the terrace and garden with swimming pool are very beautiful and lovely decorated with the most lovely ceramics (which you can buy, as they are home made) also the breakfast room is cosy, and the breakfast is varied and plenty the sauna is also a plus location was good to us, it's short to the schmittenhoge cable bahn en just outside the center of Zell (15' walk, let's say)

we booked the luxury room nr 28 and if I may be honest, that room was a disappointment to us. The only luxury was the size of the bed and the presence of a fridge. To my idea the size of the room and bathroom was standard; the balcony was really small. the furniture was very common and had no style. It was a bit of everything different all together. the curtains were old fashioned, and the picture above the bed, with a green elephant (??? ) doesn't help to upgrade the room. the little table in the room was like a table that you put ouside a bar terrace and it had no chair to sit... considering all this, the room was overpriced, I'm sorry ... A restyling to a contemperary look, with the help of an interior decorator would surely upgrade the hotel, as everything else in the hotel was perfect.

Nice but disappointing and shut when we got there!

Lovely place with a beautiful setting on the terrace for breakfast over looking the mountains. Very comfortable bed and breakfast choice was fabulous.

I dont know if its a regular thing in Austria but for a hotel to be shut when you arrive with youre key ready is really not good. The whole place was shut, the restaurant and the bar. No honesty bar for the guests to buy a beer and no water in rooms despite a fridge, very disappointing especially at the price. Other guests and the hotel should describe it being on a hill so a good 25 mins walk from the town centre. The car park spaces in front of the hotel are limited although there is an overflow over the road its not a good place to park motorcycles as gravelly and downhill. Description of hotel did not fit.

Average Stay in Zell Am See

We had an average experience at this hotel. It is located near the City Center (12 minutes walk or 4 minutes with the 71 bus which stops in front of the hotel), in a quiet neighborhood, which makes it an affordable place. There were enough parking slots, but bear in mind that it is shared with the restaurant's parking, so you might be unable to find a spot during peak hours. The breakfast was delicious, it included everything you might want to eat.

We had mixed feelings regarding our stay. We saw something different in the pictures, and we were shocked when we entered the room. Indeed, the house is an old one, but not the old one you might desire, but kind of country-style old, with lots of spiders as a bonus. The lighting was also a bit strange, it is sensor-based, but one of them was running 24/7, and we were unable to close it, so we slept with one light bulb open.

Amazing. Would highly recommend.

The staff were very attentive and super helpful. The outdoor fresh water swimming pool and pool area was fantastic. Eating breakfast on the beautiful sunny terraced area was the highlight.

Below expectations

Breakfast was good and breakfast area was cosy. The location was alright since it was close to cable car and walking distance to the lake. Beautiful pool area. Free parking.

Spider web in the ceilings and hair from previous guests in the shower so not as clean as you would hope for. Food was alright but very over priced. They will also serve you "a treat from the kitchen" although you have not ordered it so you will think that it is on the house but it is not - turned out that we had to pay 5 per person for this. It's alright but a heads up would be nice. A glass of wine was actually not a glass of wine since you only got about 1/8 of wine so this was over priced as well. Our room was located right next to a very busy road, so it was impossible to sleep after 6am. No power sockets beside the bed.
