Superb

Good room with an amazing bathtub

We liked a lot an amazing huge spa bath, great location close to the sea and a superb stuff. Special thanks to Giani, who took amazing care of us.

The room turned out to not be soundproof and as I am a very light sleeper, I had a really hard time to fall asleep. A really noise street is just in front of the window.

I slept well, air in the room was cool, it was clean, so it was good.

The place is close to the beach, you just need to cross a street and a small park. Rooms are clear, air conditioner works fine, it is not that loud even though windows are faced to street, it did not bother our sleep. Bathroom is quite convenient as well. Even though we arrived in a city much earlier than the check-in time, we were allowed to leave our luggage while we travel around the city waiting for check-in time.

On check-in time there were no administrator, so we had to wait for a 30-40 minutes. It is not such a problem, but when we tried to call an administrator, we could not do it as well, nobody was answering. Just be prepared, it can happen this way, but you will be checked in.

Excellent location, friendly staff, beautiful room and bathroom, perfectly clean. Reception area is gorgeous with nice paintings on the wall.

The mini fridge in the room is loud during the night.

Everything was bad

Very unpleasant experience. 1. We had to wait 40 minutes for the receptionist to come. Check-in was at 3pm, but as we were in the area at 2.30pm, we decided to pass by the hotel to rest. A lady opened the door for us but we were clearly not welcome. As we were waiting for the receptionist, the lady started to show high impatience. As new clients, we did not feel comfortable at all. 2. Room is very bad.. cleanliness should be reviewed. A yellow spot was showing on the bed's cover (picture). We had to kill few spiders and mosquitos before we slept. 3. As we turned on the jaccuzi, hair and dust started to come out, which was disgusting. It is not a surprise that we decided no to go into the tub. 4. The only good point is the park meter possibilities right in front.

Perfect place to crash

After having my passport stolen, i booked a last minute room at Barbarella Homes because of its closeness to the consulate. The front desk person was honestly the most welcoming person that Ive encountered on my 10 day trip. I was feeling upset nervous and anxious about getting my documents on time for my flight back home but his friendship for the time spend there kept a smile on my face. Gracias amigo! Btw check out the coffee shop right below in the morning, great food and coffee

A location that has a much too high grade even though it didn't deserve it. From the first evening we had a problem in the room where we stayed. We found a lizard on the wall of the room and after we couldn't catch it, we called the contact person we have to find a solution. The person came accompanied by someone and they tried to catch the lizard, but at some point it went under the bed or in a part of the bed where it was no longer found and after 20 minutes of attempts the people went home telling us that no there are empty rooms and they have nothing to do. We had to sleep with the lizard in the room, which is not normal, in fact we didn't sleep much. There were no rooms available in the location, but in other locations there might be and this was quite disturbing because no one from the management offered to change our room or the location even though we asked if it was possible. The next day we were told that a more thorough cleaning had been done and that the lizard had most likely been removed. The next evening, another lizard entered the room, but this one, being smaller, we managed to catch. We requested to change the room, but the person at the reception told us that it is none of his business and that we should email the management, from whom we will receive an answer in 20-30 minutes. They did not answer us until today. I noticed that the lizards were entering the balcony door, so I barricaded it with towels to block their access. It seemed normal to the people that run the hotel, they told us that they are not doing anything to us and that there is no problem. The cleaning in the room was done very superficially. The towels, although they were changed daily, smelled very bad and we even received dirty towels. There was almost never anyone at the reception. I found the cleaning lady more often, but she didn't know English and then it was more difficult to have a dialogue.

The lady at reception was incredibly rude and not helpful at all to help with check-in. The keys did not open the front door of the building. If you left, you could not get let back inside to get to your room. Another guest had to let me inside. This guest also said herself and another person staying there also had the same issue with the keys not working and being stuck outside the building. That is is not comforting after 8pm at night. The bed is hard as a rock and not comfortable to sleep on. The room was spacious but the whole experience was not great.

The room was spacious and clean with a lovely location. I also found the staff friendly and helpful, especially the receptionist who checked me in

Breakfast didn't seem to have been included in my booking and the facilities were small which made the high pricetag feel a little questionable is all. Also there were only a few low quality amenities for the bathroom (the plastic cups took away from feeling luxury) - it was otherwise a good stay though
